Shifnal is a private members club, which means the club is owned and run exclusively by and for the members. For many years we have had a waiting list but in common with other clubs in the area this has recently come down and waiting time to join the club is now relatively short, both for men and ladies.

There are various types of membership but the the main ones are:
- Full Playing Member
- Social
- Junior

Whilst we still charge a Joining Fee and Interest Free Loan for adult members we now allow payment of these charges over a five year period if required. For further details please contact the Secretary.

Applying for membership

It is preferred that new member applications are proposed and seconded by two existing club members, however applications are still welcomed if these cannot be provided.

What do you get?

As a full playing member you get to use the course as often as you like (subject to available booking times) and you can enter club competitions. You can also use the practice facilities.

Our club house is fully available for your use. Members get a discounted rate on all alcoholic drinks, so you'll find the club house makes a very good local! Social events are organised throughout the year - details are posted in the clubhouse.

Men, ladies, seniors and juniors all have their own sections in the club, and will do their best to ensure that you are made welcome and quickly become an active member of the club.

Finally, members are entitled to make use of reciprocal arrangements with other clubs either through the County Book or through the Passport Scheme. Both of these offer substantial discounts over normal visitor rates.
