Membership Subscription Rates
Shifnal Golf Club's membership year runs from 1st February to
30th January. For new members the annual subscription is calculated pro-rata
according to their joining date. The Secretary can advise of payment terms
for new members, in respect to paying the joining fee and interest free
loan.
Members are invoiced in January for subscription fees due for
the forthcoming year and payment is due on the 1st February. Arrangements
are available for members wishing to pay their subscription by monthly
direct debit - contact the Secretary for details.

1. Retired membership is available to gents of 65 or over and
ladies of 60 or over who have been full playing members for not less than 15
years continuously. Members joining after 31 Jan 1998 are not entitled to
this class of membership.
2. Country membership is available to fully paid-up members of
other golf clubs residing outside a 50 mile radius of Shifnal golf club.
Country members may not enter for club trophies and are not entitled to vote
at club meetings or stand as an officer of the club.
3. Class 4C STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
Open to persons between their 21st birthday and 25th birthday.
They will not pay an entrance fee, but will pay subscriptions appertaining
to their category as decided by the Committee.
This membership entitles the holder to all playing privileges.
They shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the club or serve
as an Officer of the club or as a member of the Committee.
They will be required to pay the full entrance fee (less any discount accumulated)
at the start of the subscription year immediately following their 25th Birthday.
They may elect to become full playing members, enjoying all the privileges of that category,
upon payment of the entrance fee and subscription appertaining to that category.
4. Class 4B INTERMEDIATE MEMBERSHIP
Open to persons aged between 18 and 21 years on the first of January
prior to the start of the subscription year. They will not pay an entrance fee,
but will pay subscriptions appertaining to their category as decided by the Committee.
They may enter club competitions and sweepstakes.
They shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the club or serve as an Officer
of the club or as a member of the Committee.
5. Class 4A - UNDER 18’s MEMBERSHIP
Open to persons aged up to 18 years on the first of January prior
to the start of the subscription year. They will not pay an entrance fee,
but will pay subscriptions as shown in the table above.
Starting times and competitions are restricted and decided by the Committee.
They may enter club competitions, but may not enter sweepstakes.
They shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the club or serve as an
Officer of the club or as a member of the Committee.
6. Note to Classes 4A, B and C
For every year they have continuous membership these members will
receive a discount of 20% of the full entrance fee.
