Entry and Parking

Cars should proceed through the car park barrier, which will lower when approached, and park in the main car park to the rear of the club.

Barrier Exit

Before leaving the club, please obtain a barrier token from the pro shop or the club house.

Dress

On the course recognised golfing attire should be worn*, and in the club house gents should wear a jacket and tie for prize giving events or when dining after 7pm. Jeans should not be worn.

*In particular, golf shirts should be tucked into trousers, and shorts should be worn with knee length socks or predominantly white ankle length sports socks.

Golf shoes may not be worn in the club house lounge.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones may be used in emergencies. They may not be used in the club house.

Before your visit

bulletA daily message is placed in the club answer-phone service regarding course conditions and any restrictions.  Phone 01952 460330 and press extension 6.
bulletIf abnormal (e.g. wet) conditions exist please check with the Profession regarding use of of golf trolleys.
bulletRide-in buggies are not permitted, but if you wish to request use of one please discuss with the Secretary before your visit.
bulletEach player must have his / her own set of clubs.

Before Play

bulletGolf shoes should be changed in the club house changing rooms; not the car park.
bulletReport to the Professional's shop before start of play.
bulletCheck with the Professional regarding foggy conditions or the risk of lightning. The Professional's rule on these matters is final.

On the course

bulletPlay should only commence from the first hole. Play may exceptionally be started from the 10th hole but only with the agreement of the professional shop. If starting from the 10th, play must alternate with other games approaching that hole.
bulletObserve your allocated start time. Please do not start before your allocated time.
bulletGents must play from the yellow tees unless otherwise agreed with the professional. Ladies and juniors have their own tees.
bulletPractice is not permitted on any part of the course except the designated practice areas. The playing of more than one ball is not allowed.
bulletPlease repair pitch marks, replace divots and rake bunkers.
bulletDo not take trolleys onto the tees, greens or green surrounds, or between greens and greenside bunkers.

Speed of Play

Players should be aware of others on the course and not hold up play of those behind. To this end:

bulletLeave your golf bag / trolley on the side of the green nearest to the next tee.
bulletDo not mark your score card on the green or when it is your turn to tee off on the next hole.
bulletBe ready to play your shot when the green is clear and it is your turn.
bulletIf a ball is 'lost' and not immediately found, call through the game behind.
bulletIf your game loses a clear hole on those in front then you must invite the following group to play through.

Priority on the course

Club members taking part in club trophies, medals or matches have priority on the course and should be invited through.

Distance markers

Each hole, apart from par 3's, has a 150 marker to the side of the fairway measuring to the centre of the green
